Jolanta is the founder, manager and director of Maple Sugar.
Jolanta's idea to start Canada's first All Girl Dance Company
came after a dance performance she did at the Bloor West
Village Street Festival. Artists are given a forum to showcase
their work and be recognized.   Musicians are in bands and are
recognized for their achievements, but dancers??  It is rare that
anyone can ever name the name of a dancer.  Even from So You
Think You Can Dance!  It is difficult to name more than one
dancer. Maple Sugar was founded even before the days of these
popular reality  dance TV shows. (which are not real!)
It is time for a group of professional hard working dancers who
are classically trained and have been dancing since the age of 3
for no other reason but a everlasting love for their art,
to be recognized by name for their work.  We don't dance back
up to bands, musical groups or videos...we are the main event.
We are the entertainer...we are featured along with other
artists not below them.  Maple Sugar has been dancing
together for a very successful 5 years and having had danced
for thousands of people.  Jolanta is very excited about what the
future holds for Maple Sugar, and looks forward to being
represented as a band does by a major music label!

Jamie joined Maple Sugar in the summer of 2007.  Jamie was
years.  Jamie danced for the London Silverbacks in 2007 and
the Brampton Excesiors Dance Team in 2009/10 as a
professional dancer. She became Artistic Director of Maple
Sugar in 2009 and Assistant Coach of the Brampton Excelsiors
Dance Team in 2010.   Jamie is a very dedicated member of
Maple Sugar.  We are lucky to have shared many of our
experiences with Jamie and look forward to her future with
Maple Sugar.
