About Us
Jolanta Oko - BFA, BEd, OCT, NBS-TTP

Jolanta has directed summer camp for both the
YMCA (Hamilton/Burlington, Mississauga, GTA)
and the City of Burlington for over 9 years.  Before
that she worked at numerous camps some of which
include sports camps, arts/dance camps, golf
camps and special needs camps.

Jolanta holds a degree in dance from York
University and is a Graduate of Canada's National
Ballet School.  She has danced professionally for
the CFL, NAFL, AHL and MLS.  She is currently
director of the Born to Move Dance Company,
which is the home of the Born to Move Junior
Dance Company giving one of a kind opportunities
to the next generation of professional dancers and
Maple Sugar Canada's All Canadian All Girl
Professional Dance Company.

Jolanta's dream has been open a summer
performing arts camp giving opportunities for
children to excel, grow and build confidence
through the arts.  Currently working as an
elementary school teacher, and has recently been
accepted into York's Masters' of Dance Program in
September 2010. Jolanta is excited to enhance
students experiences in the Arts over the summer
break.
Nicole - Dip. Rec and Leisure Mohawk College

Nicole has worked for the YMCA of Oakville and
Mississauga for over 8 years.  One of her many
roles at the Y include having been a Camp
Counsellor and Program Director for both the
YMCA of Oakville and Mississauga summer camps.
She has also run one of the YMCA After-school
care centres in addition to working in membership
services.

Nicole is also a Certified Group Fitness Trainer who has
been providing fitness classes through the YMCA and UBC.
She finished in the top 10 at the Female 2009 Labour Day
Oakville Half Marathon. She was the 2nd Female in her age
category and the 107 female in her age category across
Ontario.  Nicole is constantly developing professional
having taken courses at both McMaster University and
Sheridan College. She is also First Aid and CPR certified.

Nicole is well travelled. This past year she worked
at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Her
enthusiasm for and talent in working with children
make her an essential part of this years staff.

Kyla - Dip. Rec and Leisure Mohawk College

Kyla has spent many of her summers with kids and
horses working at Equestrian Camps.  She holds a
diploma from Mohawk College in Rec and leisure
and has coached waterpolo at the HS level for over
5 years.

Kyla's patience and caring nature make her an
essential part of our team here at B2M.
Tania - BFA BEd OCT

Tania’s endeavour into jewelry/fashion accessory
design is a natural progression from her love of
fashion and her keen eye for colour and detail.

Already at a very young age, Tania, has had an
appreciation and love for art, fashion, archeology
and antiquity.  Today, as a working artist, teacher,
interior decorator, film art director/production
designer , art and fashion co-ordinator, painting
conservator and dancer to her credit, Tania is a
talented and an accomplished artist.
Tania is a graduate of McMaster University’s Art and Art History
program and is well travelled.  The beauty of Europe’s colourful
seacoasts; Slovenia/Croatia and France, as well as; other travel
adventures and studies abroad have had a great influence on Tania’s
fashion sense, artistic knowledge base and ability.  

Tania’s forte style of artwork is called “Painted Wood Constructions”.
During her studies at McMaster University her style of work had been
strongly influenced by Henri Matisse, Frank Stella and Canada’s, the
Group of Seven.  Her painted wood creations are located in public and
private spaces in Ontario, Canada. Tania has had local and
international recognition for her work of art.

It is the piece called “Flowers in Motion”, 1992, an installation work of
art; that has been an influential inspiration for the “Cheerful Collection”
and thus a creation that combines a selection of leather colours,
Swarowski Crystal and Japanese Miracle beads.
Katie  - Bachelor of Phys-Ed& Kin. BEd

Katie was born in London, Ontario and currently
resides in Toronto.  She graduated from Brock
University and is currently a member of the
professional Brampton Excelsiors Dance Team.
Katie was a cheerleader in highschool for 5 years
and currently works as an Elementary School
Teacher/tutor.  

Her interests and talents include dancing, playing
soccer, working out and traveling.

Katie is a hard worker and very organized. Her
energy and talents will be an asset to our character
building environment.
Adam - BA BEd OCT

Although Adam's passion and talents are seen in
his part-time hockey life, his even greater talents
lye in his work with children.  He is a much-loved
Elementary School Teacher and we are lucky to
have him working with us this year.
